There was a time when VCRs were considered at the cutting edge of technology. No longer were we restricted watching particular programmes when schedulers decided - just set the machine to record and when you want to. These days digital TV recorders have taken over as consumers demand more functions and better quality. Choosing the right one for you can be something of a challenge though, unless you know what you are looking for.
